Our Supported Living Service supports Adults with mid – moderate learning disability, or Autism living in shared accomodation across the borough of Kingston. The service operates in its own properties but will also provide one to one support as an outreach function elsewhere.
- We maximise opportunities and independence through support that is person centred and built around the skills and knowledge of each individual we are working with.
- We build a shared sense of belonging to the house, community and local services that are central to the daily lives of each tenant living there.
- We work at all times to minimise the impact of our staffed support to ensure each house is a home for those living in it and not a workplace.
- We maintain a diverse staff team to generate a variety of support and experiences in service delivery whilst ensuring consistency in approach.
- We value training as a cornerstone of our organisational development. All staff are trainined to a minimum standard of NVQ Level Two Care Certificate.
- We are an organisation that is committed to understanding and building on the individual strengths and interests of those using its services. Both in terms of their own support as well as the development of the organisation as a whole.
