Candy, Volunteer at the Balance Head Office

Volunteering has many potential benefits that can improve your wellbeing, sense of belonging and ability to make a difference -
Many people report getting involved in volunteering because they have fun doing it. Trying something new can be enjoyable and rewarding.
For some it is a sense of personal development and achievement that they get from getting involved.
A lot of people report volunteering because they want to make a difference, either to the lives of others or to their community.
Volunteering opens the door to meet new people from different backgrounds, and with different life experiences, who you might not have otherwise met.
Volunteering can give you the opportunity to try something new - a potential new career or maybe in an area of interest you have never explored before!
